Learn More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n At the Women\u2019s Center & LGBTQ+ Services (C-220), the Center for Reading and Writing<\/a> (CRW) offers one-to-one satellite consultation sessions in reading and writing to students on all academic levels. Sessions are available weekly on Tuesdays from 1 pm – 3 pm. To make an appointment, click the button below. Select a consultant in the Women\u2019s Center and indicate the date and time within the available hours. You will then receive a confirmation email with your appointment details. If you have any questions, contact Susan Auger at sauger@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n Schedule an Appointment<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The purpose of Safe Zone Training is to reduce homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, heterosexism, and heteronormativity on the 秘密研究所 campus through LGBTQ+ inclusive education with the goal of making our campus a safer environment for all members of our community, especially people of marginalized sexualities and genders. Safe Zone Training prepares Ramapo’s faculty, staff, and students to serve as resources on LGBTQ+ issues and representatives of the Safe Zone program.<\/p>\n Learn More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Throughout the year, the Women’s Center & LGBTQ+ Services organizes educational and social events to enrich the student college experience.<\/p>\n Event Listings on Archway<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The 秘密研究所 Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), through educating and sharing resources<\/a>, promotes awareness of the realities of dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence. OVP programs provide evidence-based literacy and training through innovative prevention strategies in an effort to create a community that fosters a culture of respect, affirmative consent and encourages bystander intervention.<\/p>\n Learn More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The Office of Title IX<\/a> supports 秘密研究所\u2019s mission by ensuring a campus culture free from discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, and pregnancy. The Office of Title IX provides resources, support, and information to all community members impacted by sexual misconduct:<\/p>\n The Women’s Center & LGBTQ+ Services is dedicated to supporting the wellness of our transgender and gender nonconforming community members by providing on-campus resources and services as well as suggesting local assistance options.<\/p>\n Learn More<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Every Wednesday during the semester from 2-3 pm, Elena Yee, LPC, holds Drop-In Hours in C-217 (across from the Women’s Center).\u00a0Elena<\/span> is the LGBTQIA+ liaison for the campus. A Psychological Counselor with Ramapo’s Counseling Services<\/a>, she is passionate about increasing access to counseling for LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other marginalized populations. Sessions are:<\/p>\n Please email Elena at eyee@ramapo.edu <\/a>with any questions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The Trevor Project<\/a><\/p>\n Counselors trained to provide free, confidential, and secure crisis care for LGBTQ+ young people struggling with issues such as coming out, identity, depression, and suicide.<\/p>\n Hours: 24\/7<\/p>\n Trans Lifeline<\/a><\/p>\n Hours: Monday \u2013 Friday, 1 PM \u2013 9 PM (Eastern)<\/p>\n Run by and for the trans community, Trans Lifeline connects trans people to the direct emotional and financial support necessary to survive and thrive.<\/p>\n With our space (Room C-220), we seek to cultivate a welcoming space rooted in practices of care, authenticity, and shared accountability \u2014 a place where all students feel comfortable being their whole selves. <\/span><\/p>\n During open hours, Ramapo students, staff, and faculty are welcome to stop by Room C-220 hang out, socialize, study, and\/or enjoy a hot beverage in the lounge area, which features comfortable seating for relaxing as well as a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave.<\/span><\/p>\n Our space also includes a We Care Satellite Food Pantry<\/a> stocked with ready-to-eat items like microwave soups and meals, granola and\/or breakfast bars, and protein shakes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The Women\u2019s Center offers a growing library containing over 200 books, including autobiographies, memoirs, biographies, fiction, and nonfiction. Our collection explores topics related to feminism, women, gender, and sexuality.<\/span><\/p>\n You may use books from the collection while in the center or you may sign-up for a patron account and check them out for two weeks with the option to renew. Search our online catalog<\/a> and\/or visit us in Room C-220 <\/span>to peruse our shelves.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Crafting is a feminist practice \u2014 an outlet for expression, care, and resistance. We offer supplies for creativity and relaxation, including:<\/p>\n The Women\u2019s Center promotes responsible intimacy, safer sex, and menstrual equity. We offer free:<\/p>\n You may take up to five free products each time you visit us in Room C-220.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n As part of our reproductive justice advocacy, the Women\u2019s Center & LGBTQ+ Services distributes free levonorgestrel emergency contraceptive pills (i.e. Plan B, Julie, My Choice, My Way, EContra).<\/p>\n Emergency contraception (EC) works by temporarily stopping the ovary from releasing an egg. EC can reduce the chance of pregnancy if taken within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex or birth control failure. It works best the sooner it is taken. EC is most effective when used prior to ovulation (before an egg is released from the ovary).<\/p>\n EC pills are available by visiting C-220 during the Center’s posted open hours.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Local Medication Abortion Providers<\/strong> Local Procedural Abortion Providers<\/strong> Online Resources<\/strong> Find a brick and mortar clinic:<\/p>\n Judgement-free all options counseling:<\/p>\n Funding for your abortion:<\/p>\n Testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) \u2014<\/span> including HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis \u2014<\/span> is available at Ramapo’s Health Services<\/a><\/strong>, by appointment, daily. Health Services can also provide counseling on whether or not students should have other testing performed based on individual risk factors. Health Services is located near the campus South Gate entrance at the corner of Route 202 and Hornbeam Road. To make an appointment, call (201) 684-7536.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Lactation\/Pumping Space Available<\/strong><\/p>\n Breastfeeding students, faculty, and staff may request access to a private space on campus to express breast milk. You may reserve the room by contacting Johnie Burton at (201) 684-7230 or jburton@ramapo.edu<\/a>. A small refrigerator reserved for the specific storage of breast milk is available. Any breast milk stored in the refrigerator must be labeled with your name and the date of expressing the breast milk. Any nonconforming products stored in the refrigerator may be disposed. Those storing milk in the refrigerator assume all responsibility for the safety of the milk and the risk of harm for any reason, including improper storage, refrigeration, and tampering.<\/p>\n Title IX<\/strong><\/p>\n Title IX protects pregnant and parenting students.
