Email For students that qualify, the program provides up to full tuition scholarships<\/strong> for up to 3 years of undergraduate education.\u00a0 There is an additional $10,000<\/strong> salary supplement for the first year of teaching.\u00a0 For the average 秘密研究所 undergraduate student, this would be a total award of $55,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant Number 2425801<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Click here to Apply Now!<\/a><\/p>\n (PDF of Application Questions)<\/a><\/p>\n The Noyce program supports talented STEM undergraduate majors and professionals to become effective K-12 science or math teachers in high-need school districts.<\/p>\n The Noyce program has a teacher service commitment of all RUN2STEM Scholars to teach for two years in a high needs district for each year of funding received<\/span>.<\/p>\n The Ramapo Undergraduate Noyce STEM Scholars program, RUN2STEM, is a project that aims to serve the national need of preparing well-qualified and experienced STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) secondary teachers who are committed to teaching in high-need school districts and prepared for the future of education.<\/p>\n \u2022 Bergen Community College<\/a> – RUN2STEM has special benefits<\/a> just for Bergen CC students! <\/p>\n Ramapo Undergraduate Noyce STEM Scholars will be members of a community of practice that includes regional stakeholders, practicing teachers, and education experts. These RUN2STEM educators are committed to elevating and promoting the profession of teaching in STEM, instructing in high-need school districts<\/a> and prepared for the future of education.<\/p>\n All students must also be accepted into the Teacher Education program and enrolled in one of the following majors:<\/p>\n \u2714 Teachers in the United States rate their lives better<\/strong> than all other occupation groups, trailing only physicians.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Teachers have flexible summers<\/strong> that they can use to travel, learn, spend time with family and friends, and recharge.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Science teachers report having higher or equivalent overall job satisfaction<\/strong> compared to other STEM professionals.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 At year 15, the middle 50% of teacher salaries ranges between $68,000 and<\/strong> $114,000<\/strong>, nationally.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/b>\u2714 Teachers earn additional pay of $1,000 \u2013 $8,000<\/strong> for optional activities like coaching, running after school clubs, and tutoring.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Teacher salaries are competitive with other jobs<\/strong> you can get with the same degree.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Grade 7-12 science and math teachers get paid more than most college teaching faculty<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 You can get a job almost anywhere<\/strong> in the U.S. or abroad as a science or math teacher.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 There are\u00a0student loan forgiveness programs and scholarships<\/strong>\u00a0for math and science teachers.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Most teaching jobs have better retirement benefits<\/strong> than other jobs you can get with the same degree.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Nearly all teachers report having creative freedom<\/strong> in their classrooms.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 87% of teachers report that they are treated with respect<\/strong> by students and their parents.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 About half of all science and math majors report an interest in becoming a teacher<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Research shows that the classroom teacher has a greater impact on student learning<\/strong> than all other aspects of schools (e.g., class size and funding per student).<\/a><\/p>\n \u2714 Behind every advance in medicine or technology is a teacher<\/strong> who left a lasting impression.<\/a><\/p>\n Nationally, the salary of a teacher meets or exceeds salaries with other education levels.<\/p>\n Data from Get the Facts Out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n An individual awarded a scholarship or stipend must serve as a full-time STEM teacher in a <\/b>high-need school district<\/b><\/a> for a total of two years for each full-year in which a scholarship or stipend was received<\/b>, to be fulfilled within eight years after completing the STEM baccalaureate program or within four years for a post-baccalaureate student after completing teacher certification.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n A list of high needs school districts is available at: https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/tcli\/directory-search<\/a><\/p>\n *we will use the most recent listing available, which is currently 2022-2023.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Prior to applying, you should meet with the project coordinator (RUN2STEM@ramapo.edu) to discuss the program.<\/p>\n If you need help completing the application, then please reach out as well.<\/p>\n Link to application (Qualtrics survey)<\/a>.<\/p>\n PDF of the application questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n For those not yet at Ramapo, please start an application<\/a> and contact admissions via email or text at anytime for assistance \u2013 admissions@ramapo.edu<\/a>\u00a0or 201-581-3517.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n The Noyce program supports talented STEM undergraduate majors and professionals to become effective K-12 STEM teachers, as well as experienced, exemplary K-12 teachers<\/a> to become STEM master teachers in high-need school districts.
