Through the Fulbright Program, scholars build their skills and connections, gain valuable international insights, and return home to share their experiences with students and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/380\/2025\/07\/Fulbright-Scholars-List-updated-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">秘密研究所&#8217;s Fulbright Scholars<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Faculty Awards<\/h2>\n<h3>The Henry Bischoff Excellence in Teaching Award<\/h3>\n<p>The Henry Bischoff Excellence in Teaching Award was created to honor deceased Ramapo colleague and historian Henry Bischoff, when he retired in 1997. This award is given to a faculty member whose work as a teacher embodies the best of Ramapo\u2019s teaching culture. Subsequent to the nomination deadline, the selection committee will request supporting documentation from nominees.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations are now closed for the 2025 award. He was a gifted teacher and administrator, but became especially well known for his formal and informal work in faculty governance, and college governance as a whole. From 1979 to 1982 he was the director of the School of Social Sciences and Human Services. He was also a founding member of two faculty bodies, the Faculty Assembly, and the Faculty Assembly Steering committee. Whether in an official leadership position, or acting as an informed and constructive faculty member, Jack was known for his courtesy and tolerance. His intelligence and civility were not only endearing, but valuable cement pulling together the College. After his death, friends put together this endowed fund to both honor Jack and to encourage the kind of leadership he represented. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fall 2025 award recipient was Rikki Abzug, ASB.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/380\/2026\/01\/Jack-Richardson-Memorial-Award-Past-Recipients-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Previous Recipients of the Richardson Award<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Guidelines<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>The intent of the Richardson Award is to recognize a faculty member from any school who demonstrates leadership \u201cin the spirit of Jack Richardson.\u201d Specifically, the faculty member must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have the ability to find common ground, and by their demeanor and behavior be an effective leader who is broadly respected<\/li>\n<li>Have assumed a leadership role (formal or informal)<\/li>\n<li>Promote the welfare of the faculty and support faculty governance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Nomination Process<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>The Richardson award is open to faculty members (tenured or tenured track) from all schools.
