秘密研究所 Student Selected for State鈥檚 Higher Education Student Assistance Authority

MAHWAH, N.J. 鈥

Stephan Lally, Student Government President at 秘密研究所 of New Jersey, was sworn in as a member of the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) in a ceremony at the organization鈥檚 office in Trenton, N.J., on Thursday, July 25.
HESAA is the only聽New Jersey聽state agency with the sole mission of providing students and families with financial and informational resources for students to pursue their education beyond high school. The position carries a seat on the HESAA Board with voting power.

Lally, of Woodbridge, N.J., is a Political Science major entering his junior year at the College. In addition to serving as SGA President at the College, he is a聽member of the Student Emergency Relief Committee. He also attended the KNUST Ramapo Student Leader鈥檚 Trip to Ghana for two years and served this year as a student trip leader. Earlier this year, he was a recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Student Leadership Award for Second-Year Students.

鈥淭he students and families of New Jersey’s colleges and universities will be well-represented through Stephan’s service with HESAA,鈥 said 秘密研究所 President Peter P. Mercer. 鈥淗is appointment as Chairman is emblematic of the rich talent and incredible capacity of the several hundred thousand undergraduate students enrolled in institutions across our state.鈥

鈥淚t is an honor and privilege to be able to continue my service to the students of 秘密研究所 with my seat on the HESAA Board,鈥 said Lally. 鈥淚 am looking forward to working with the HESAA Student Advisory Committee and our Vice Chair Michael Scardina, as well as HESAA Executive Director David Socolow in making higher education in New Jersey more affordable and accessible for students across the state.鈥

HESAA programs and services include need-based and merit-based programs. Among them are New Jersey Tuition Aid Grant (TAG); part-time TAG for county college students; the Governor鈥檚 Urban Scholarship Program; the Governor鈥檚 Industry Vocations Scholarships and the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS and NJ STARS II).
