Proposal Development<\/h3>\n

To provide the highest quality of service, the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs requests that you use the grant initiation form to provide information on the grant you intend to submit. This information will be used to verify the College’s eligibility to apply for this grant and ensure there are no conflicts of interest or competing funding requests.\u00a0 For external funding, please submit a completed grant initiation form and a brief description of the proposed project<\/span> to <\/span>grantsdesk@ramapo.edu at least one month prior <\/i><\/b>to initiating efforts to obtain funding.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you are approved to pursue the funding opportunity, this Office will work with you to finalize your proposal. Along with your completed proposal documents, please complete the grant submission approval form and submit it to grantsdesk@ramapo.edu. A budget template form is available for your use, although most funding agencies have a specific budget format of their own. <\/span><\/p>\n

For final administrative approval, all documents are to be submitted to the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs at least 7 working days<\/strong><\/em> before the agency deadline. Proposals to external funding agencies will not be submitted without appropriate institutional approvals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please refer to the policy<\/a><\/strong> governing grants and sponsored programs compliance, including the in-depth procedures manual, which can be found on the policy website. The policy<\/a><\/strong> governing gifts and private\/non-governmental grants should be referred to if you are pursuing awards from private foundations.<\/p>\n

Several funding agencies make example proposals available to the public on their websites. If not, you can reach out directly to awardees to ask for a copy of their grant, or submit a request to the funding agency via the\u00a0Freedom of Information Act Office<\/a>\u00a0to retrieve a copy of the awarded grant.<\/p>\n
