When applying for admission to Ramapo, all applicants must provide their Social Security Number\u00a0in order to receive\u00a0financial aid.<\/p>\n
To apply for aid at Ramapo, students pursuing a graduate degree should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA<\/a> and submit by May 1st. No other application forms are required.\u00a0 \u00a0By complying with this priority deadline, graduate students will be prepared to contact the Office of Financial Aid to discuss loan eligibility and borrowing options well in advance of the tuition payment deadlines.<\/p>\n The FAFSA<\/a>\u00a0 is available on January 1st of this year. Applicants should use Ramapo\u2019s school code (009344) when filing.<\/p>\n Graduate students are not eligible for Federal or State grant programs.\u00a0 However, graduate students may borrow up to $20,500 annually under the Federal Direct Stafford Loan programs.<\/p>\n To qualify for a Federal Direct Stafford loan, graduate students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per semester.\u00a0 Students enrolled for less than 6 credits may consider an alternative loan.<\/p>\n Students may also\u00a0obtain loans from various private loan programs.\u00a0 Students can compare several\u00a0Alternative Lenders<\/a> through the Elm Select website.\u00a0 A neutral lender and product comparison tool.
