秘密研究所’s Center for Data, Mathematical, and Computational Sciences (DMC) connects technology students with nonprofit organizations through paid, faculty-supervised internships that address real community challenges. This model strengthens our region by 1) ensuring that high-quality technical expertise is accessible to mission-driven organizations, and 2) providing experiential learning opportunities to students, building a workforce-ready talent pipeline.<\/p>\n

Join an active team of student developers working with the Center for Food Action, a New Jersey food assistance nonprofit. This role focuses on unifying a growing suite of applications into a cohesive, production-ready platform. Open to sophomores and juniors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science.<\/p>\n
MEVO is an environmental nonprofit running farms and community programs across New Jersey. This intern will work on MEVO’s volunteer management platform and lead development of a brand-new Harvest Tracking Application. Open to current juniors in Computer Science or Data Science.<\/p>\n
The DMC is building a tribal membership and records system for the Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation, whose Tribal Center is located just a few miles from campus. Two positions are available: one focused on application development and IT support, and one focused on digital data curation and community engagement.<\/p>\n

Dr. Scott Frees (DMC Director) brings extensive experience in software development, consulting and project supervision. Internship teams are supervised and managed by DMC faculty ensuring high-quality deliverables while providing students with mentorship and professional development.<\/p>\n
