This model strengthens our region by 1) ensuring that high-quality technical expertise is accessible to mission-driven organizations, and 2) providing experiential learning opportunities to students, building a workforce-ready talent pipeline.<\/p>\n<h2>Current Internship Openings<\/h2>\n<p>The DMC Center has three paid internship positions open over the coming months. Click the links below to read full descriptions and learn how to apply.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/dmc\/2026\/03\/24\/cfa-infrastructure-internship\/\">Center for Food Action &mdash; Infrastructure Intern<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Join an active team of student developers working with the Center for Food Action, a New Jersey food assistance nonprofit. This role focuses on unifying a growing suite of applications into a cohesive, production-ready platform. Open to sophomores and juniors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/dmc\/2026\/03\/23\/ramapo-dmc-mevo-internship\/\">MEVO &mdash; Volunteer &amp; Harvest App Intern<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>MEVO is an environmental nonprofit running farms and community programs across New Jersey. This intern will work on MEVO&#8217;s volunteer management platform and lead development of a brand-new Harvest Tracking Application. Open to current juniors in Computer Science or Data Science.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/dmc\/2026\/03\/08\/ramapo-dmc-rmi-internship-opportunity\/\">Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation &mdash; Two Positions<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The DMC is building a tribal membership and records system for the Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation, whose Tribal Center is located just a few miles from campus. Two positions are available: one focused on application development and IT support, and one focused on digital data curation and community engagement.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Our approach creates impact across three groups, all aligned around community benefit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Non-profit organizations<\/strong>:  Receive professional-grade technical solutions to maximize impact by helping them serve more people, operate more efficiently, and amplify their mission. These services are provided at no cost to the nonprofit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Students<\/strong>:   Gain meaningful, paid work experience while building portfolios, exploring careers in technology for social good, and contributing directly to community needs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community supporters<\/strong>:  Individuals and institutions who contribute to the DMC Community Impact Project help expand access to these services for more nonprofits across the region. Their support fuels hands-on student learning and ensures that local organizations have the tools to meet pressing community challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Scott Frees (DMC Director) brings extensive experience in software development, consulting and project supervision. We handle all technical planning and design work.  We\u2019ll create timelines and milestones and review the design with you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Student Team Deployment<\/strong>: DMC hires interns from Computer Science, Data Science, and related programs to work on your project under close supervision. Students earn market-rate compensation and portfolio-worthy experience.  Their compensation is paid from DMC Community Impact funds, not from your organization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deliverable &amp; Training<\/strong>: You receive completed systems, training for your staff, and documentation. All systems are yours to own and use indefinitely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Current Success Story Center for Food Action (CFA)<\/h2>\n<p>Our partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/cfanj.org\">CFA<\/a> demonstrates the model in action. The tool allows staff to filter and visualize attendance information by semester, program type, demographics, and diagnosis &#8211; showing trends over time and mapping where participants come from geographically. It also helps Pony Power analyze their existing intake forms to identify patterns in how they collect information. This portal serves as a foundation for building better reporting tools that can support donor outreach, measure program impact, and identify growth opportunities for programming and research.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mevo.ramapo-dmc.dev\/assets\/MEVO+Logo.png\" style=\"float:left;width:150px;margin-top:1rem;margin-right:1rem;margin-bottom:1rem\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The DMC Center at 秘密研究所 is developing an event management system for MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization) to help them coordinate their community cleanup and trail maintenance events. The app allows volunteers to sign up for events and enables MEVO staff to track attendance in the field\u2014clocking volunteers in and out so participants can receive credit for their community service hours. Staff can also record event outcomes like total pounds of garbage collected or number of tires removed, creating a complete record of MEVO&#8217;s environmental impact.
