Jacklin Kurter (Pronouns: she/her/hers) holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University.Â
Jacklin worked as a temporary Psychological Counselor at the Center for Health and Counseling Services at ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù in 2019-2020. Jacklin returned to ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù during Fall of 2022 and transitioned into her role as the First-Generation Counselor and Outreach Specialist. Jacklin serves as a member of ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù’s First-Generation Action Team whose mission is to provide support and services that promote success for first-generation college students. Prior to joining the team at CHCS, Jacklin worked in a variety of mental health settings with adolescents and adults providing individual and group therapy.Â
Jacklin enjoys working with students on a variety of topics such as first-generation college student experiences, culture, anxiety, relationship stressors, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, depression, emotion dysregulation.Â
Jacklin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, going out to eat, reading, and binge watching tv shows.
