{"id":15,"date":"2013-03-18T07:00:29","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T11:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/cli\/student-teaching\/"},"modified":"2016-01-22T13:39:07","modified_gmt":"2016-01-22T18:39:07","slug":"student-teaching","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/cli\/student-teaching\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Student Teaching Guidelines\/Approval:<\/h3>\n<p>Potential student teachers must meet the following requirements:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatImg alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/cli\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/32\/2013\/03\/15-0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"107\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bluebullet\">\n<li>Minimum GPA dependent on state requirement at time of admission into the program.<\/li>\n<li>Taken and passed the appropriate PRAXIS Test(s)<\/li>\n<li>Successfully completed all required courses for your Major (Secondary Certification requires 12 credits at the 300\/400 level in the content area pursued)<\/li>\n<li>Successfully completed all required courses for Teacher Education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After the completion of the above requirements, students must make an appointment with the Certification Officer in E-234, for written approval to visit the Center for Learning and Instruction, E-222.<\/p>\n<p><strong> NOTE<\/strong>: Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/cli\/events\/\">Calendar of Events<\/a> for Program deadlines.<\/p>\n<h3>Placement<\/h3>\n<p>Students must report to the Center for Learning and Instruction, E-222, only if written approval has been given by the Certification Officer, E-234. The necessary paperwork will then be given for the placement process to begin.<\/p>\n<h3>Registration<\/h3>\n<p>To Register for the Student Teaching Seminar, EDUC 491, students must attain a permit from the Certification Officer, E-234.<\/p>\n<p><strong> NOTE<\/strong>: If you are graduating the semester before student teaching you must fill out a <em>Post-Baccalaureate Form<\/em> when obtaining permission for the course.
