The MASE 4+1 option offers students a five-year integrated undergraduate and graduate program that prepares them to be both elementary teachers, as well as teachers of students with special needs. The MASE 4+1 option is ideal for students who are specifically interested in:<\/p>\n
The MASE 4+1 option requirements consist of both coursework, distinct course-aligned clinical experiences and a full-year clinical practice internship in a variety of both inclusive and special education school settings.\u00a0 Required courses and clinical internships may be taken during the traditional fall and spring semesters, summer sessions I and II, and winter session and online see Academic Calendars<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n Students who enroll in the MASE 4+1 option complete all of the required undergraduate and graduate coursework and clinical internship during just five years. This can occur because students are able to complete<\/span> three (3) graduate-level courses during years 3 and 4 of their undergraduate (BS in Elementary Education) experience, which means 12 credits are double-counted toward both degrees.
