{"id":2217,"date":"2026-05-07T09:30:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T13:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/budget\/?page_id=2217"},"modified":"2026-05-12T16:22:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T20:22:00","slug":"student-aid-budget-management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/budget\/student-aid-budget-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Aid Budget Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Budget Allocation<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Units are allocated a budget for the fiscal year that covers the period from July 1<sup>st<\/sup> through June 30<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Units may transfer funds between student aid positions or add funds to their allocation from their own unit or core (with approval of the core VP). Position numbers <strong><em>must<\/em><\/strong> be included in the transfer request to <a href=\"mailto:budget@ramapo.edu\">budget@ramapo.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Student Aid Salary<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervisors are responsible and accountable for managing the unit\u2019s student aid salary budget and must monitor spending to ensure budget allocations are not exceeded.<\/li>\n<li>Student aid salary expense will appear in the unit\u2019s budget in account 6086.<\/li>\n<li>Biweekly reports with budget expenditures are sent to supervisors to facilitate budget monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>If the budget is exceeded, funds will be moved from the unit\u2019s operating budget pool to cover the overage, unless the unit director or core vice president identify alternate funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Student Aid Sick Time<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Student aid sick time will be charged directly to the unit. This expense will appear in account 6076.<\/li>\n<li>Sick time will be covered by the Budget Office for FY27 (via budget transfer as expenses are incurred).<\/li>\n<li>Starting in FY28, units will have a budget for sick time based on FY27 actuals.
